Meekness includes trust, courage, confidence, and patience in affliction.
The meek know how to look to God to determine when to speak up and when to remain silent. The meek speak up without speaking down. It is the observing meek who consider the lilies and who notice and lift up the heads that hang down...striving and struggling on inches at a time when we would prefer to run. Meekness means concern about saving souls instead of saving face.
Depend upon God, for many are depending on you to serve them.(See Neal A. Maxwell,Meekly Drenched in Destiny).
"I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded for I know that the Lord giveth no commandment unto the children of men save he men save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the things which he commandeth them."(The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ, 1 Nephi 3:7).
